Dave Zackin is a graphic designer with a background in fine art, communications, public health, and urban studies.

He holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Masters in Urban Studies from Queens College, and a Masters in Public Health from the CUNY/Hunter School of Public Health. Before joining the staff at RPA, he designed the recycling decals, bins, and communications collateral for the New York City Department of Sanitation’s 2012 introduction of all-plastics recycling. From 2013-2018 Zackin was the Senior Designer at NYC Health + Hospitals, New York City’s 40,000 employee public hospital system. While there he implemented a major organizational redesign of all health system logos and visuals, uniting the city’s eleven public hospitals and eighty clinics under a single brand identity.

When not working on RPA related projects, he makes ceramic sculptures -- mostly vases with faces on them.
