Make a tribute gift recognizing someone special, or to celebrate a special occasion. After selecting your gift amount on the donation form, you can choose whether your gift is in honor or in memory, and enter the honoree’s name. You can also enter an email if you would like RPA to notify the recipient or another appropriate party electronically.
RPA Endowement Fund
One special way of making a difference to RPA and the New York metropolitan area is contributing to the organization’s endowed Chairs or memorial internships. These positions are named in honor of friends of RPA who have shaped the region in countless ways and the recipients will carry out that legacy through their work with the organization. The Richard Kaplan Chair for Regional Design
With generous support from The J.M. Kaplan Fund, RPA established an endowed Chair in honor of Richard Kaplan, a long-serving board member, inspiration, and friend to the organization. The Richard Kaplan Chair for Regional Design advances creative, ambitious, innovative research in urban design for the New York metropolitan region as a way to shift the narrative and catalyze change.
The Peter W. Herman Chair for Transportation
Established in memory of Peter W. Herman, RPA’s longest-serving Director and Board Chair Emeritus, the Peter W. Herman Chair for Transportation advances research and policy leadership to help the region address mobility challenges and invest in a more connected, equitable, and resilient future.
The Ellis Calvin Memorial Internship
The Ellis Calvin Memorial Internship honors and celebrates Ellis Calvin, RPA’s late Data Research Manager, whose integrity, intellectual curiosity, love of data, and commitment to rigorous analysis continue to inspire RPA’s work.
