To meet the region’s climate goals, building owners will need to reduce emissions by improving energy efficiency and transitioning to non-fossil-fuel sources of space and water heating, primarily through electrification.
This session will kick-off with a discussion about the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, the single largest component of the Inflation Reduction Act, much of which will be available to support investment in buildings. The expert panel that follows will showcase the state and local policies and programs driving building decarbonization and the financial and technical resources available to building owners to support the transition to net zero buildings.
