The following statement can be attributed to Zoe Baldwin, New Jersey Director, Regional Plan Association:
The gap between the need for affordable housing and the limited supply continues to grow in New Jersey and across the tri-state region. This not only drives housing costs but also entrenches historic patterns of segregation and inequality. We applaud the New Jersey State Legislature for taking steps to codify and reform how municipalities address affordable housing shortages. RPA will be preparing suggestions, and we look forward to working with partners in the Assembly and Senate to pass this historic legislation.
