Eleven percent of the region’s population lacks health insurance, which can be a significant barrier to access to health care. RPA’s analysis finds that the uninsured are concentrated in some of the region’s poorest communities, which means these people face other obstacles to living healthy lives. This map shows the share of population without health insurance by census tract. You can find out more about the connection between health and urban planning through our report, the State of the Region’s Health.
