Critical infrastructure connecting New York City

We need an evolution in how we manage and use city streets. We need to develop a network of priority, high-capacity, protected bike lanes that serve as the heart of a comprehensive and cohesive bicycle network.

The vision for the Five Borough Bikeway is one of critical infrastructure. Critical in that it will serve to reconnect NYC as it recovers. Workers will be reconnected to jobs; goods to customers; neighborhoods to other neighborhoods; friends and family to each other.

Recommendations for Realizing the Vision of the Bikeway

The ability to freely and safely cycle on NYC streets should be a right that all NYC residents have, regardless of age, gender, income, or race.
