Current Chairman Scott Rechler will complete six-year term at the end of 2022
NEW YORK, NY – Amid celebrations for its centennial year, Regional Plan Association (RPA) today announced it has initiated a search for a new Board Chair in anticipation of the completion of Chairman Scott Rechler’s six-year term of service. Rechler, who also serves as CEO and Chairman of RXR, assumed his position as Chairman in 2016. He was also recently elected to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Board of Directors.
The process will be led by a Search Committee dedicated to identifying outstanding candidates who will advocate for the implementation of the recommendations in RPA’s Fourth Regional Plan and embrace RPA’s values, which include promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of the organization’s work. The search process is anticipated to conclude before the end of the year.
RPA’s Board Chair leads the organization’s diverse and prestigious Board of Directors, partnering closely with the President, providing strategic planning, leading fundraising efforts, recruiting new board members with a continued emphasis on diversity, and engaging with political, business and civic leaders to advance RPA’s priorities.

RPA will be working with the Davis Consulting Group, a New York based consulting firm focused on human capital and organizational effectiveness, on the search .
