Large transportation infrastructure projects are critical components of the fight against climate change, but they are no silver bullet.
Comparatively smaller, scalable projects and policies must supplement the megaprojects, and can even be more consequential. From micromobility to off-hour deliveries, many projects and policies which often don’t make headlines could make a big, positive impact on the climate.
This panel will ask: What policies must be part of the discussion? How has increased diversity in transportation and climate leadership helped to amplify this conversation? Which small but impactful programs can be scaled in our region to make transportation more sustainable? And, how can new technologies be embraced to best plan for a carbon neutral transportation future?
