Is 2021 going to be a year of transformative investments in infrastructure?
Many advocates, politicians, and business leaders are talking about the possibility of advancing a range of ambitious priorities – including the Gateway program, micro-mobility, telecommunications, and renewable energy – with historic assistance from Washington, D.C. Seizing this opportunity will take leadership from the federal and state governments and unprecedented participation from business and industry.
As we recover from COVID-19, we must take stock of the devastation it has wrought in communities and industries. How can a new generation of investments serve populations historically left behind? Can technological breakthroughs change how and what we build? What should we prioritize among competing interests and needs?
Prior to the panel, Governor Ned Lamont of Connecticut and Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey will join us to share their visions of a promising future for the region.
This session is preceded by the presentation of the 2021 Zuccotti Award.
