Will Cao joined RPA as a Research Associate in 2024. He navigates the tapestry of transportation, land use, and socioeconomic data spanning our region to retrieve insights that can inform a broad range of multifaceted projects.

His previous work has spanned analytical and creative roles in planning and urban design at SOM, Grimshaw, and WXY. His research with the Center for Spatial Research at Columbia University focused on the application of network science to understand patterns of migration and displacement in Africa and South America. He holds a dual Master of Science in Urban Planning and Master of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP and a Master of Arts in Interactive Design and Game Development from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
