As Campaign Associate, Sophie works closely with RPA’s research, advocacy and communications teams to promote and advance key initiatives. These include the Gateway Program, which will rehabilitate and expand passenger rail service between New York and New Jersey, advocating for a statewide framework to address New York’s housing crisis, and assisting with various projects on zoning and affordable housing in Connecticut.

Sophie was born and raised in New Haven and has a strong appreciation for her home town (and its pizza). She has worked as a speechwriting intern for Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and as a fellow on Governor Ned Lamont’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign. She graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History, focusing on 20th century American cities, and she holds an M.A. in History from University College London and an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
