As Manager for Advocacy Campaigns, Sophie works closely with RPA’s research, advocacy and communications teams to promote and advance key initiatives across the tri-state region. This includes emphasizing the need for the Gateway Program, which will rehabilitate and expand passenger rail service between New York and New Jersey, advocating for a statewide framework to address New York’s housing crisis, and assisting with various projects to enact zoning reform and expand affordable housing in Connecticut.

Sophie was born and raised in New Haven and has a strong appreciation for her hometown (and its pizza). She graduated from Yale University in 2020 with a B.A. in History, focusing on 20th century American cities, and she holds an M.A. in History from University College London and an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
