The Future of Bergen and Passaic Counties

Bergen and Passaic Counties together are the New York Region in

microcosm. They have all of the problems--and all of the potential--of

this dynamic, prosperous, sometimes broad-visioned and great but often

careless and petty urban area. While the two Counties have had far

different histories and relatively little interaction, current events seem

likely to make them more related. The most significant development

decisions facing each County are common to them both.
