On October 31, 1967, about 850 persons attending the annual Regional Plan Conference met in small groups to discuss the basic issues facing the New York Metropolitan Region over the next thirty-five years.
This was part of the public participation that Regional Plan Association is fostering in the preparation of its Second Regional Plan, a set of guidelines for the Region’s growth to the year 2000.
