The redevelopment of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal is an important step in creating much needed housing, sustaining maritime commercial activity, and investing in local economic development for New York City.

Continued, dedicated investment in this space is critical to ensure our region’s sustainability and prosperity. Regional Plan Association supports the local leadership and collaboration we’ve seen from Brooklyn Borough President Reynoso, Councilmember Hanif, and other strong voices on the BMT Task Force in pushing towards a more inclusive vision for Brooklyn and the region.

Community collaboration, government transparency, and partnership from civic partners like RPA will continue to be vital as this iterative planning and redevelopment process continues towards completion.
