A Fourth Regional Plan Recommendation
The process for evaluating and approving proposed development projects is time-consuming, expensive, and inefficient. It too often excludes residents, especially low income communities of color, and it isn’t creating the housing and commercial space the region sorely needs to address its affordability crisis. In order to create growth that better reflects our needs, planning and approval processes must be made more inclusive, equitable, and predictable, using the best tools available for addressing a wide range of impacts.
