As advocates and proponents for the Gateway Program, the Build Gateway Now Coalition is thrilled to see construction beginning on Hudson Yards Concrete Casing Section 3, a necessary step to preserve the underground right-of-way for the future Hudson Tunnel Project. Getting shovels in the ground is a moment that has been 10+ years in the making and one that we’ve been proud to support. We know the Gateway Program will strengthen the economic connection between New York and New Jersey, reduce congestion, and promote better air quality and sustainability for our entire region. We extend our deepest congratulations to Governors Hochul and Murphy, Secretary Buttigieg, and the state and federal agencies who have brought the project to this critical milestone.
