A Survey of Ninety-Five Communities in the New York Metropolitan Region
Thousands of new residential subdivisions have been developed throughout this metropolitan area in the past few years. Fortunate were the many communities that previously had adopted regulations governing the subdivision and development of land. They avoided the kind of “boom and bust” speculative land subdivision activity that had placed so many municipalities in fiscal difficulties in the 1920s.
