The RPA family grieves for our friend and peer Cecil Corbin-Mark, a magnetic leader in the environmental justice movement. A number of us at RPA worked closely with Cecil over two decades through transportation, environmental justice, community development, and energy work. He was inspiring, kind, passionate and positive, exactly the kind of person the world needs more of right now. We are sending our love to Cecil’s family, to our board member Peggy Shepard, and to the rest of Cecil’s colleagues at WE ACT for Environmental Justice. And we are taking to heart the words of his organization: ​“Remember his laughter, and his smile. And then follow in his footsteps, fearlessly fighting to protect and uplift the health and well-being of frontline communities.”
