Statement on NYCHA Public Housing Preservation Trust Legislation, A7805D/S9409A

share

New York, NY - The following statement can be attributed to Moses Gates, VP of Housing & Neighborhood Development, Regional Plan Association

“RPA applauds the New York State legislature, especially bill sponsors Assemblyman Cymbrowitz & Senator Salazar, for passing legislation that will create the NYCHA Public Housing Preservation Trust. We have long supported the creation of the Preservation Trust, as it will provide a real pathway for returning thousands of NYCHA units to a state of good repair that keeps them under public ownership, preserves affordability and rights, and empowers tenants.”
