Gloria Chin oversaw Communications for Regional Plan Association, working to increase RPA’s visibility and implement RPA’s ideas in areas such as improved mobility, equitable housing, and environmental resiliency.

She has more than 15 years of public relations experience at top institutions – all with a focus on the public good. Before joining RPA, Gloria served as Press Secretary to the Mayor of Austin, Texas. She has held several communications roles, including at New York Presbyterian, a top nationally-ranked hospital, several New York City government agencies including the Department of Transportation and Department of Buildings, and more. Gloria started her career in Broadcast Television News and held various roles in the news production/writing space in the number one media market in the nation, New York City.

A native of The Bronx, Gloria earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from Fordham University and master’s degree in strategic communications from Columbia University. She is passionate about urban issues, equality and the wage gap.
