You are invited to a special Transit Coffee Hour with Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer! We will celebrate all we’ve accomplished together, what work lies ahead, and what the future of public transportation in New York can look like under the Biden Administration.
This past year, as New York riders faced Doomsday budget plans that threatened to cut bus and subway service in half. Senator Schumer fought to include more than $8 billion in aid for the MTA,
ensuring continued service for all riders, including frontline workers, in the federal coronavirus stimulus spending programs.
“No great surgeon could figure out how to separate [me] from mass transit,” Senator Schumer told us last August, and he kept his word and prioritized our voices in Washington D.C.! The Senate Majority Leader will join us again to discuss the future of public transportation in New York under the Biden Administration.
This event is hosted by: Regional Plan Association, Riders Alliance, Straphangers Campaign, Transportation Alternatives, New York League of Conservation Voters, Reinvent Albany, Tri-State Transportation Campaign, Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA, and StreetsPac.
