Governor Florio was our friend, mentor, esteemed RPA Board Member, and Co-Chair of our New Jersey Committee for more than 20 years. As an organization, we are humbled to announce the creation of the Governor James J. Florio Leadership Award and companion internship program to recognize and celebrate outstanding New Jersey leaders who embody the Governor’s legacy through their work toward better mobility, stronger and more inclusive communities, and a more resilient region.

The inaugural award will be presented to Kris Kolluri, CEO of the Gateway Development Commission for his current work to develop and deliver the nation’s most important public works project and for his prior decades of service to our state as NJDOT Commissioner and as a leader in economic development.

We will also recognize members who have served and advised the RPA NJ Committee for over twenty years:
