RPA brought together experts and elected officials to engage in a conversation around the challenges and opportunities to improve public transit in New York City’s outer boroughs. The event offered a comprehensive presentation of RPA’s proposed Triboro line to connect the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn by introducing passenger service along an existing rail right-of-way, as well as a panel discussion. The panelists voiced support for Triboro, described transit challenges in their neighborhoods and districts, and agreed upon the overall negative impacts which poor transit options have on lower-income communities and communities of color.
