With the passage of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), New York positioned itself as the nation’s leading state acting to tackle the climate crisis. To reach the ambitious goals of CLCPA, however, will require an aggressive and economy-wide shift away from fossil fuels. How can New York really hit these targets in a way that ensures equity and economic prosperity? What will implementation look like and when do we begin the transition?
