Citizens Housing & Planning Council, Regional Plan Association, New Yorkers for Parks and advocates from Riders Alliance, Loving the Bronx, and Prospect Park Alliance will lead a campaign platform work session to brief candidates for office in New York City on policy challenges and solutions for three intersecting priorities critical to creating a more equitable New York City: housing, parks and open space, transit and infrastructure. This work session will serve as important prep for candidate forums, editorial board interviews, candidate questionnaires, and advocacy group interviews.
The speakers will provide three brief sector-specific presentations on concerns including:
- Situation analysis for NY’s housing crisis and key issues a new plan needs to address
- Updating and expanding NYC parks infrastructure for a post-pandemic world
- Ensuring transit equity and leveraging infrastructure for economic recovery
