Join us for a two-part panel on the Port Authority’s role in shaping and growing the metropolitan region’s three major airports from the 1940s to today, using the RPA’s 1947 seminal report, “Airports of Tomorrow,” as a springboard for discussion.
The first panel is a historical perspective of the pioneering planning and negotiations that created the nation’s first regional aviation hub featuring a discussion amongst, Patty Clark, a 25+ year veteran of the aviation industry and the CEO Project Gestalt, Inc, Megan Ryerson, PHD, the UPS Foundation Chair of Transportation at the University of Pennsylvania, and Professor of Transportation and Infrastructure Planning, Policy, and Engineering in the Departments of City and Regional Planning (CPLN) and Electrical and Systems Engineering (ESE) and Rachel Weinberger, PHD, the Peter W. Herman Chair for Transportation at Regional Plan Association with over 30 years of transportation planning experience in the public and private sectors and in academia, moderated by Huntley Lawrence, COO of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The discussion will be followed by a fireside chat focused on the vision for the future of aviation in the region, with Rick Cotton, Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Kevin O’Toole, Chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and moderated by Thomas K.
