As Transportation Planning Discipline Lead at Jacobs, Ryan has over 10 years of transportation planning experience. Most notably, Ryan led FreightNYC, a multimodal freight transportation plan for New York City while he served as Director of Freight Initiatives at the NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC). While at EDC, also Ryan led the Metropolitan Rail Freight Council (MRFC) as well as the North Atlantic Marine Highway Alliance (NAHMA), two groups that brough industry and government together to pursue sustainable transportation solutions. Prior to EDC, Ryan first learned about maritime logistics and air cargo while working as a Mobility Consultant at Santa Fe Relocation in Beijing, China. Ryan joined Jacobs in February 2023 and looks forward to working with public and private sector clients to advance innovative and sustainable transportation projects.
