As Design and Project Director for New City Parks, which is incubated by RPA, Emily Neye collaborates with community stakeholders, city governments and design professionals to shepherd new parks and park revitalization projects from concept through construction.
Emily has fifteen years of experience as a landscape architect working on both public and private projects in New York City. While in the offices of Donna Walcavage LA+UD and AECOM, Emily’s urban public projects ranged from large-scale parks on post-industrial sites to streetscapes, plazas, and playgrounds. Many of her projects involved intensive collaborative design processes, experiences which fostered her strong commitment to creating spaces that respond to specific community needs while implementing innovative and environmentally sustainable design strategies. Emily further honed her client and project management skills and deepened her understanding of construction detailing through eight years of extensive work on private residential gardens, rooftops, and interiors at K Hoyt Architecture/Landscape.
Emily holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College.
