Strengthen and enforce fair housing laws

Although the tri-state region as a whole continues to be increasingly diverse, our communities are still some of the most segregated in America. Eradicating our legacy of racial and economic segregation will require both correcting the wrongs of the past and proactively protecting people of color from discrimination today. Expanding and enforcing fair housing policies, and encouraging multi-jurisdictional strategies to affirmatively further fair housing, will give all residents more housing opportunities and put the region on the path to success.
