Statement on President Biden's Infrastructure Plan

share

NEW YORK, NY - The following statement can be attributed to Tom Wright, President and CEO, Regional Plan Association.

President Biden’s infrastructure plan provides a chance to go big and bold to address long-standing needs for the tri-state region. This is crucial as we recover from COVID-19. RPA’s Infrastructure for Recovery and Renewal report demonstrated how federal funding could transform our region and entire country while creating a more prosperous, equitable, healthy and sustainable future. The region’s existing capital plans alone could create over 250,000 jobs per year while fixing and modernizing the region’s transit system, public housing, and other critical infrastructure. RPA stands ready to support these investments in our future.
