Statement on Confirmation of Polly Trottenberg as Deputy Secretary of Transportation

share

NEW YORK, NY - The following statement can be attributed to the Tom Wright, President and CEO of Regional Plan Association.

We are thrilled the U.S. Senate has confirmed Polly Trottenberg - an expert with deep knowledge of transportation and infrastructure issues - as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation. We look forward to working with Trottenberg and everyone at U.S. DOT to solve challenges the White House has described as “systemic,” by advancing the Environmental Assessment of the MTA’s congestion pricing program, the Environmental Impact Statement for the Hudson Tunnel Project, and the tunnel’s eventual full funding agreement.
