Associate for the Office of the President and Development Team

Regional Plan Association (RPA) is seeking an organized and dynamic professional to support RPA’s President and Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support for the President, including managing calendar, meeting preparation and follow-up, and drafting select correspondence

  • Support President and VP of Development with board and donor relations, including meeting coordination, preparing materials for board and committee meetings, organizing board orientation lunches, taking meeting minutes and other related tasks

  • Support Director of External Relations and Events on event design and execution for multiple and varied in-person and virtual events, including board and committee meetings, annual fall benefit and spring conference, and various programs and events throughout the course of the year

This is an excellent opportunity to explore the fields of urban planning, development and events as an essential part of a small, supportive and passionate team of experts devoted to building a better future for the New York metropolitan region.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BA
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in-person a minimum of two days a week, plus frequent events
  • A team player who takes initiative
  • Ability to multitask
  • Highly organized
  • Sense of humor
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Constant Contact preferred
  • A love for the greater NYC metro region!

Salary range: $50,000-$55,000 plus generous benefits package
